Aging School Toilets in Son La Leave Students Facing Poor Sanitation

In the mountainous northern province of Son La, it has become apparent that aging toilets in many schools are severely impacting the sanitation conditions for students. Son La is one of Vietnam's economically disadvantaged regions, where the development of educational infrastructure has not kept pace. In many schools, toilet facilities, used for many years, have deteriorated, with damage and unhygienic conditions left unaddressed. This exposes children to the risk of infectious diseases, compromising a healthy learning environment. While infrastructure development has progressed in Vietnam, particularly in urban areas, alongside economic growth, many challenges remain in rural and mountainous regions. Investment in educational infrastructure is particularly crucial for the development of these areas and for reducing disparities. In response to this situation, VnExpress, in collaboration with the Hope Foundation, is calling for donations to a project aimed at providing safe and hygienic toilets in disadvantaged communities. This initiative seeks support to protect children's health and provide a better learning environment.
