Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Urges 'Words into Action' for Enhanced Cooperation in South Korea

On the afternoon of September 6, during his official visit to South Korea, Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Tran Thanh Man met with what are known as 'Friends of Vietnam' in Seoul. This meeting took place as Chairman Man and his wife commenced their official visit to South Korea. The purpose of the visit is to further develop the relationship between the two countries, with expectations of strengthening cooperation, particularly in areas such as economy, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. During the meeting, Chairman Man emphasized the importance of the spirit of 'turning words into action,' calling for progress in the substantive cooperative relationship between Vietnam and South Korea. This suggests Vietnam's stance of aiming to build a cooperative framework that leads to concrete outcomes, rather than merely expressing friendly relations. Under its one-party system, Vietnam has achieved rapid economic growth and, in its external relations, places particular emphasis on economic cooperation and attracting investment. South Korea is one of Vietnam's important economic partners, with many Korean companies having established a presence in Vietnam. Chairman Man's visit to South Korea is considered significant in further solidifying these economic ties and exploring new opportunities for cooperation.
