LEGAZPI CITY — Authorities arrested three drug personalities and recovered more than P491,000 worth of shabu (crystal meth) on July 25 in separate operations in Camarines Norte and Albay. In Panganiban town, Camarines Norte, suspects identified as “Batoy” and “Sonny”—both residents of Albay province—were arrested after selling a sachet of shabu to an undercover agent at 8:50 p.m. The operatives recovered P10,200 worth of shabu during the operation. Col. Noel Nunez, chief of the Albay police, said in a report on Sunday that the suspect, tagged as a high-value drug personality, sold a sachet of suspected shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay (village) Malabog at 3:11 p.m. During the body search, they recovered 14 sachets containing 70 grams of shabu worth P481,440, a caliber .22 gun, and five bullets. They were facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /mcm
