Kampot's Chum Kiri District Reports Zero Online Scam Incidents

Colonel Mai Sokhum, the Inspector of the Chum Kiri District Police, Kampot Province, has affirmed that there have been no online scam incidents within his jurisdiction. He stated that security and order throughout the district are excellent due to the highly effective implementation of the 'Safe Village-Commune' policy. Notably, despite the presence of factories and a significant number of foreign residents and workers, no locations have been found to be involved in online scam operations. Colonel Mai Sokhum further explained that under the guidance of the provincial governor and the strict orders of the Kampot Provincial Police Commissioner, district police forces are actively monitoring and investigating potential targets for online fraud. As of now, there have been no reported cases of online scams in Chum Kiri district. The district police chief attributed the continuous decrease in various crimes within the district to the police inspectorate's strong focus on prevention and timely intervention. However, according to the report submitted by Colonel Mai Sokhum, the results of the Chum Kiri District Police's work for the first six months of 2026 indicate that traffic accidents were the most prevalent issue, with 41 cases resulting in 9 deaths, 38 serious injuries, and 51 minor injuries.
