Vietnam Air Traffic Management Launches "Gratitude and Acknowledgment" Movement

On August 3, at a ceremony held in Hanoi, Vietnam Air Traffic Management (VATM) launched the "Gratitude and Acknowledgment" movement. This initiative is in response to a call from the Ministry of Construction and aims to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's War Invalids and Martyrs Day, observed from July 27, 1947, to July 27, 2027. The movement seeks to propagate a "culture of gratitude" across Vietnam. VATM plans to organize numerous meaningful activities to honor the occasion. Notably, various entities such as Radar Regiment 290 and the Directorate of Fisheries are also undertaking diverse tribute activities in connection with War Invalids and Martyrs Day. Under Vietnam's one-party system, the state tends to emphasize historical events and symbolic anniversaries to foster social stability and national unity. The War Invalids and Martyrs Day is particularly significant for evoking patriotism and respect for sacrifices made. The leadership of such movements by state-owned enterprises like VATM can be seen as part of the government's effort to disseminate policy objectives throughout the industrial sector. In a rapidly growing economy like Vietnam's, such social movements are also expected to enhance national solidarity and boost morale among the workforce.
