The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has officially registered Industry Shared Services Centre, Inc. as an information technology (IT) enterprise. Under the agreement, the company will establish and operate its registered IT Enterprise at McArthur Highway, Matina IT Park, Davao City, Davao del Sur. The project involves an investment of P83 million and is expected to generate over 290 direct jobs, PEZA said. The facility will provide data processing services involving the entry, verification, updating, and maintenance of information received from internal records, client submissions, and authorized third-party sources. These services ensure that data is accurately recorded, organized, and maintained to support business operations and reporting, the agency said. The data to be processed in the facility include customer information, shipment details, and financial or operational records. Activities will be strictly limited to data entry and validation, without performing independent analysis or decision-making. The agreement was signed by PEZA Director-General Tereso O. Panga and Industry Shared Services Centre Corporate Secretary Jeffrey B. Sarabusing on June 30. PEZA stated that the expansion will leverage the Philippines’ export-oriented digital services industry and enhance the country’s position as a preferred destination for global IT-enabled services.
