Drug Network Leader 'Mew' and Gang Arrested; Assets Seized in Nakhon Ratchasima After Chumphon Operation

Chumphon Provincial Police in southern Thailand have arrested Pacharapan Chaiwong, 30, known as 'Mew', the alleged leader of a large drug trafficking network, along with several accomplices. The operation was conducted in Mueang District, Chumphon. Authorities stated that 'Mew' was responsible for managing drug distribution routes and operated primarily in Chumphon. During the arrest, approximately 1 million baht in cash, two luxury cars, jewelry, and equipment believed to be used for drug production and sales were seized. The investigation extended beyond Chumphon to Nakhon Ratchasima (Khorat) in northeastern Thailand. Several other alleged accomplices, reportedly acting under 'Mew's' direction, were apprehended in an apartment in the province, where a significant amount of cash and drug-related items were also confiscated. Authorities are continuing their investigation, believing the network had established an extensive drug trafficking operation. This bust is being highlighted as a significant development in Thailand's efforts to combat drug trafficking.
