Revolutionary regiments in Kalay issue night curfew, instruct absconding soldiers to return by July 20

It is reported that in Kalay Township, Sagaing Region, revolutionary regiments have issued a night curfew for the safety of the public, and have also issued instructions for soldiers who have absconded from their units to report back to their mother units by July 20. The National Unity Government (NUG) Ministry of Defence, Military Region 1, Regiment 4, issued an order prohibiting night movement starting from July 13, with the aim of enabling the public to live peacefully and stably, and to prevent undesirable dangers. Movement outside the residence is completely restricted and prohibited between 10 PM and 4 AM, except for medical emergencies, and local residents have been informed in the statement to strictly comply until the order is rescinded. Similarly, Regiment 3 of Kalay Township has also issued an order and instruction for all those who have absconded from their units and those whose leave has expired to return to their mother units and resume their duties. According to the instructions of the Military Region 1 office, absconded soldiers and those on extended leave from Regiment 3 must report back to their mother units starting from July 13, 2026, with July 20 being the final deadline. It has been warned that if they do not report back to the regiment on time within the specified period, they will be arrested and detained wherever they are found, and decisive action will be taken in accordance with the rules and laws set by the military region and the regiment.
