Cambodia Enhances Water Resource Management Training by Learning from Japan and China

The Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology of Cambodia organized a training workshop on "Sharing Training Technical Experiences from Japan and the People's Republic of China" on Monday, September 7, 2026, at the TSC training room within the ministry's headquarters. The event was led by H.E. Meng Pokkunda, Director General of the General Department of Administration of the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, with the participation of 5 instructors and 30 trainees. This forum serves as a crucial platform for exchanging best practices from Japan and China to enhance the institution's work efficiency. Key topics covered include addressing climate change, integrated water resource management, planning and managing project cycles, as well as flood management and dam protection. H.E. Meng Pokkunda expressed strong confidence that this training will provide new knowledge and experiences from Japan and China as a foundation for their work. He also urged the trainees to diligently absorb the knowledge to strengthen their capabilities and further enhance the institution's proactive work efficiency.
