Jakarta Security Rally Held at Monas to Strengthen National Unity
A national rally to secure Jakarta, initiated by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Kodam Jaya, and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government, took place at Monas Square. Diverse community elements, including students, laborers, and online motorcycle taxi drivers, participated to reaffirm their commitment to Jakarta's security and national unity.
A "National Rally to Secure Jakarta for Indonesia" was held at the National Monument (Monas) field in Central Jakarta on Saturday morning (8/8). The event was initiated by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, Kodam Jaya, and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. The National Rally was attended by various community elements, ranging from students and laborers to online motorcycle taxi (ojol) communities. The National Rally aims to strengthen national unity and maintain Jakarta as a safe, comfortable, and conducive city. Several activities will fill the implementation of this national rally. One of them is the reading of a declaration of support for securing Jakarta as a form of joint commitment in maintaining Jakarta. In addition, social service activities in the form of distributing basic food packages are planned as a form of care and togetherness. Then, there will be free health examination services covering eye, dental, general health, and laboratory examinations. These activities are expected to be a manifestation of the joint commitment that maintaining Jakarta requires synergy, care, and participation from all elements in the spirit of securing Jakarta to realize a safe, comfortable, and conducive Jakarta.
