Nghệ An Accelerates Fund Disbursement for Climate-Resilient Urban Development Project
Nghệ An province has disbursed over VND 337 billion for its climate-resilient urban development project. The locality is also advancing land database development and supporting migrant workers, aiming to boost regional development and resident welfare.
On July 30, the People's Committee of Nghệ An province announced that it has disbursed over VND 337 billion (approximately USD 13 million) for the implementation of the "Climate-Resilient Urban Infrastructure Priority Project" in Vinh City. This project aims to address the impacts of climate change and promote sustainable urban development. The province is also advancing the national land database development project, with a current progress rate exceeding 57%. This initiative is crucial for enhancing land use efficiency and transparency. Furthermore, Nghệ An province is providing support to the families of workers who have died abroad, an important measure to ensure the safety and welfare of Vietnamese migrant workers. In a humanitarian effort, the province successfully rescued a Lao student suffering from septic shock and multiple organ failure, who has since recovered due to prompt medical intervention. These initiatives are part of the regional development and social welfare policies implemented under Vietnam's one-party system. As Vietnam continues its economic growth, adapting to climate change and stabilizing the living standards of its citizens are critical concerns. For Vietnam, with its close ties to China, infrastructure development and economic progress are also essential for maintaining and expanding its regional influence. Source: Nhan Dan
