Indonesia Aims to Cut Annual Fuel Imports Exceeding Rp 500 Trillion with EVs and Biofuels

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto announced a strategy to reduce annual fuel import costs, which reach approximately Rp 500 trillion (USD 28-30 billion). The government plans to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and promote biofuels and natural gas to curb foreign exchange outflows and improve public welfare.
