172 Residents Evacuated in Zambales Amidst Tropical Storm Maymay

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — At least 172 residents in this province have been evacuated from their homes as Tropical Storm “Maymay” (international name: Kujira) and the enhanced southwest monsoon continue to bring inclement weather to the province on Wednesday. Data from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) showed that 156 individuals were evacuated to shelters. The evacuation was carried out to mitigate risks associated with flooding and landslides due to the rain and strong winds brought by Tropical Storm Maymay.
