Cambodian National Assembly Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation with New Vietnamese Ambassador
Leng Peng Long, Secretary-General of the Cambodian National Assembly, met with the newly appointed Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia, Nguyen Minh Vu. Discussions focused on strengthening traditional friendship, deepening cooperation between legislative bodies, and enhancing collaboration across various sectors for mutual benefit.
Leng Peng Long, Secretary-General of the Cambodian National Assembly, received Nguyen Minh Vu, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Kingdom of Cambodia, for a courtesy call and working discussion on the afternoon of July 7, 2026, at the National Assembly building. This meeting took place on the occasion of Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu's appointment to Cambodia. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Keo Piseth, Deputy Secretary-General in charge and Director of the Cabinet of the President of the National Assembly, Madam Khuon Sudary, as well as several senior officials from the General Secretariat of the National Assembly. During the meeting, Leng Peng Long extended a warm welcome to Ambassador Nguyen Minh Vu, who was entrusted and appointed by the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam as Ambassador to the Kingdom of Cambodia. He expressed hope that during the tenure of the new Ambassador, the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries, especially between their legislative institutions, will continue to be strengthened and expanded to become deeper and more effective. In a cordial and mutually understanding atmosphere, both sides exchanged views extensively, focusing on further strengthening cooperation, traditional friendship, and solidarity in all sectors to serve the common interests of the peoples of Cambodia and Vietnam. In conclusion, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continue maintaining and promoting bilateral relations to be stronger and more effective, in line with the spirit of good neighborliness, traditional friendship, comprehensive cooperation, and long-term stable partnership.
