Support materials provided to returnees in Htalam town, Chin State

It is reported that support materials were provided to residents who returned after fleeing their homes in Htalam town, Chin State. On July 9, Deputy Minister U Myo Myint of the Ministry of Construction attended a ceremony held at the Htalam town hall to provide support materials to the public who returned after fleeing their homes. It is reported that Deputy Minister U Myo Myint of the Ministry of Construction, members of the Chin State Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Committee, religious leaders, pastors, elders of the town, the public who returned after fleeing their homes, and departmental officials attended the ceremony. The Deputy Minister stated that the state is providing relief supplies containing 16 types of essential household goods and food, intended to help restore daily life to a certain extent in response to damages caused by terrorist incidents, and that support will continue to be provided to the public who return in the future. Following this, relief supplies for 200 households were distributed to the public who returned after fleeing their homes. In addition, the Deputy Minister and his delegation inspected the condition of the Hakha-Htalam road section, inspected the roads and bridges damaged by terrorist incidents, and stated that necessary repairs and maintenance should be carried out with priority to ensure smooth travel, that efforts should be made to prevent water from accumulating on the road during the rainy season, and that responsible persons at all levels should gather in advance and supervise to prevent road closures due to landslides in the mountainous region during the rainy season.
