A work coordination meeting on border area and national races development took place at the Ministry of Border Affairs on Thursday. Union Minister and Chairman of the Work Committee Lt-Gen Phone Myat attended the meeting together with the concerned officials. The Union Minister and Committee Chairman instructed to carry out border development activities, focusing on ethnic unity and promoting balanced development across all regions and states. The Union Minister called for active cooperation between the government and people to implement regional development initiative with balance manner. Related ministries are urged to closely cooperate with each other in border area development activities in order to turn out talented skillful ethnic individuals. The attendees reported on current working processes and future plan, and the Committee Secretary and Deputy Minister of Border Affairs Maj-Gen Kyaw Swar Oo gave supplementary clarifications. The Union Minister coordinated the needs on the reports and gave concluding remark.
