Indonesia's National Esports Team Enters Final Preparations for Asian Games

The Indonesian Esports General Assembly (PB ESI) has announced that preparations for the Indonesian National Esports Team to compete in the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, have entered their final phase. Athletes will soon be sent to represent the Red and White at one of Asia's most prestigious sports events. According to Glorya Famiela Ralahalo, Manager of the Indonesian National Esports Team, Indonesia will compete in eight esports events. These include Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Honor of Kings, PUBG Mobile, Pokémon Unite, Naraka: Bladepoint, Identity V, eFootball, and Gran Turismo 7. "This is not just about appearing in a competition; it's part of PB ESI's big vision to make Indonesian esports more competitive, respected, and accomplished on the world stage through qualification," said Ralahalo on Tuesday, September 15, in Jakarta. PBESI is also championing the theme "We Got Your Back," reflecting the full support of the entire esports ecosystem for the national athletes' endeavors. Ralahalo emphasized that athletes' achievements are built through collaboration, not individually. This involves coaches, sports science teams, the government, clubs, families, communities, industries, media, and the public. She assessed that the synergy of these elements is crucial for developing Indonesian esports, not only as a performance arena but also as a means of shaping the character of the younger generation through values like discipline, teamwork, responsibility, and a fighting spirit.
