Cambodia to Create Over 35,000 Job Opportunities at National Job & Productivity Fair

The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, through the National Employment Agency (NEA), will organize the National Job and Productivity Fair 2026 for two days, from September 12-13, 2026, at the Koh Pich Convention and Exhibition Center in Phnom Penh. The event will be held under the theme "Skills and Jobs: Labor Productivity for Sustainable Economic Growth," offering over 35,000 job opportunities from 150 companies, enterprises, and institutions. During a press conference on the morning of September 1, 2026, H.E. Sun Mesa, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, emphasized that the fair aims to maintain labor market balance by connecting employers and job seekers, while also creating a platform for exchanging labor market information and organizing workshops on labor productivity. The Ministry expects over 50,000 participants. The National Job and Productivity Fair 2026 is co-organized by the NEA of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, the Phnom Penh Municipal Federation of Youth Unions, and the Textile, Apparel, Footwear, and Travel Goods Association of Cambodia (TAFTAC), with support from the International Labour Organization (ILO) and numerous other partners. H.E. Sun Mesa stated that 150 enterprises, companies, and institutions will participate, showcasing a wide array of job opportunities, which will create up to over 35,000 jobs. The Ministry anticipates approximately 50,000 attendees. The spokesperson further clarified that the main objectives of this significant event are to continuously maintain balance in the labor market by supporting employers needing to recruit and job seekers, to create a large and convenient gathering place for job seekers, employers, education and training providers, and various partners to exchange and share labor market information. Workshops on labor productivity for sustainable economic growth will also be organized, featuring knowledge and experience sharing from many skilled speakers. Mr. Khem Rady, Member of the Committee and Deputy Secretary-General of the Phnom Penh Municipal Federation of Youth Unions, noted that the Federation has partnered with NEA since the first National Job Fair and has consistently helped promote participation through its nationwide network, expressing hope that young people will find employment. Mr. Ly Tek Heng, Representative of TAFTAC, highlighted three major points for youth: "studying skills and finding employment," "labor productivity in the current job market," and "supporting students in choosing study skills according to market demand." He affirmed that the organization of the National Job and Productivity Fair provides significant convenience for youth, students, and job seekers. Furthermore, Mr. Hong Sovannthara, Director of Human Resource Services Department at Canadia Bank, urged young people to attend the upcoming National Job and Productivity Fair 2026 and visit the Canadia Bank booth to gain new job opportunities and experiences. Mr. Heun Hunny, Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Human Resources at KB PRASAC Bank, also spoke about the bank's recruitment needs and the opportunities offered to young people attending the 2026 National Job and Productivity Fair.
