Cambodian and Korean Students Conduct Hygiene, Health, and Environmental Education in Kampong Speu

Student volunteers from Cambodia's National University of Management (NUM) and Korean universities have conducted educational activities focused on hygiene, health, and the environment at Santipheap Primary School in Kampong Speu province. This humanitarian volunteer activity was organized by the Korean University Social Service Council (KUCSS) and implemented by KOSSIAN, as part of the Korea World Friends (WFK) initiative. This marks the 50th session of such activities in 2026. Say Vang, the director of Santipheap Primary School, along with faculty and students, warmly welcomed the group of Korean student volunteers, led by Director Hwang Eunsou, representing Mr. Choi Myong-geun, and senior advisor and researcher Dr. Hai Sovan from the Faculty of Law at NUM. The visit aimed to conduct volunteer activities in collaboration with students from NUM. Director Say Vang expressed his profound gratitude to all the student volunteers for visiting Santipheap Primary School to improve learning materials and share valuable knowledge with the children. He emphasized that these activities significantly contribute to promoting local education and helping children achieve a better learning environment. During the event, Director Hwang Eunsou, the leader of the volunteer student group, along with Mr. Choi Myong-geun representing KOSSIAN and other volunteers, actively participated in leading classes for the students. The lessons focused on children's personal hygiene, health management, and environmental protection. Beyond educational work, the student group also engaged in school facility improvement projects and organized cultural exchange programs to build valuable relationships and friendships with the local community in Kampong Speu province. Director Hwang Eunsou further stated that the organization of this 50th program is immensely meaningful. He highlighted that these collaborative activities are not only opportunities for knowledge sharing but also create mutual learning, shared responsibility, and strengthen the bonds of friendship between Korean and Cambodian youth. Director Hwang Eunsou and the student representatives clearly demonstrated the close cooperation between the youth resources of both countries in contributing to the development of local education.
