The Union Minister of Industry, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, Dr. Charlie Than, stated that efforts are being made through online and offline systems to expand the market for MSME products and gain market access. This was in response to a star question from U Nyunt Saung, a Member of Parliament for the Ramanyaing constituency in Mandalay Region, during the 25th day of the 2nd regular session of the 3rd Pyidaungsu Hluttaw, held on July 17. As a star question, U Nyunt Saung, the Member of Parliament for the Ramanyaing constituency, asked whether there are plans to facilitate the production and sale of long-term fruit crops and garden and farm produce in Ramanyaing Township as value-added products. In response to the question, Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than replied that efforts are being made through online and offline systems to connect and facilitate business owners to meet product standards and obtain certifications for safety, and to gain market access. He stated that for the long-term success of the regional economy, the interest and effort of local residents and business owners themselves are most crucial, in addition to the state's support, and that business owners must have an interest in transforming raw materials into value-added finished products rather than selling them cheaply as they are. Furthermore, Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than said that it is necessary for business owners to actively participate in systematic organization as business owner groups, attend relevant training and awareness seminars organized and opened by ministry groups, and engage in quality control.
