Cambodia Emphasizes Education's Crucial Role, Honors Top Students

Kampong Cham Governor Hun Chanda stated that education is the foundation of knowledge and the key for every individual to open the door to their future, for themselves, their families, and the nation. The governor made these remarks during a ceremony to present incentives to outstanding students in Kampong Cham city on the morning of September 11, 2026. Governor Hun Chanda praised and congratulated all students for their good academic results, especially the 26 students who received an 'A' grade. He noted that this achievement is a result of the hard work of the students, the guidance of teachers, and the support of parents and guardians. He clearly stated that knowledge gained from education is the key to opening the door to everyone's future, leading to prosperity for themselves, their families, and the nation. It also serves as the fundamental basis for developing abundant human capital, which is a crucial driving force for national socio-economic development towards success. "Without education, a society cannot prosper," Governor Hun Chanda added. He mentioned that the Royal Government of Cambodia pays high attention to human resource development by strengthening the quality of education, science, technology, and digital skills development, in line with the government's 'Pentagonal Strategy'. Governor Hun Chanda also appealed to parents and guardians to encourage their children to love learning, promote reading, and learn the Khmer language accurately. He urged families and communities to work together to educate children and youth to stay away from drugs, which can destroy the future of individuals, families, and the nation.
