Cambodian Pro-Democracy Group Holds International Conference in Brussels

A Cambodian pro-democracy organization held an international conference in Brussels, the capital of Belgium. The meeting aimed to foster multifaceted discussions on the progress of democracy in Cambodia and the challenges ahead for its development. Participants expressed concerns regarding the shrinking political space within Cambodia and the restrictions faced by civil society organizations (CSOs). The establishment and strengthening of the rule of law, along with the necessity of an independent judiciary, were also central to the discussions.
