Dak Lak Province Establishes Management Board for Economic and Industrial Zones

Dak Lak Province in Vietnam's Central Highlands has decided to establish a Management Board for its economic and industrial zones. This decision was announced at a conference held on September 18, based on Decision No. 1613/QĐ-TTg issued by the Prime Minister's Office on August 20. The establishment of this Management Board is a significant step towards promoting economic development and attracting domestic and foreign investment in Dak Lak Province. Under its one-party system, Vietnam prioritizes economic growth, with the revitalization of regional economies being a key policy objective of the central government. Strengthening the management system for industrial zones is crucial for manufacturing cluster development and job creation, expected to act as an engine for economic growth. However, Dak Lak Province has also faced economic challenges recently. Reports indicate a 700% increase in business dissolutions in the province over the past month, raising concerns about economic stagnation and a deteriorating business environment. The establishment of the Management Board in such circumstances can be seen as a measure to stimulate economic recovery. The province is also focusing on developing community tourism among ethnic minority communities, enhancing foreign information exchange and border sovereignty promotion, and strengthening cooperation with Japan. These initiatives aim to diversify the regional economy and deepen international partnerships.
