Speaking at a press conference on "New Import Duty Rates from Cambodia to the United States after the Compliance Investigation of Section 301 of the US Trade Act" held on July 27, 2026, at the Council for the Development of Cambodia, H.E. Sim Sokheng, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce, stated that 154 tariff lines of Cambodian products have been exempted from import duties, meaning they now face zero tariffs in the US market. He elaborated, "Our products include up to 154 tariff lines, and among these, besides textiles, are handmade products such as Krama (scarves), hats, and products made from wood scraps, which will have zero tariffs for export to America. Additionally, certain plants and animals are also included in these tariff lines." Furthermore, the Secretary of State added that the working team will continue to promote export opportunities for other products, aiming for zero import tariffs into the US market. In the first six months of 2026, Cambodia's exports to the United States amounted to approximately $7.17 billion, an increase of 29.8% compared to the same period last year.
