12 Arrested in MIMAROPA Manhunt, Including 3 Top Most Wanted

CALAPAN City, Oriental Mindoro — Police arrested 12 wanted persons, including three of MIMAROPA (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan) or Region IV-B’s most wanted fugitives, during simultaneous manhunt operations across the region on July 23. According to the Police Regional Office-MIMAROPA Friday, among those arrested was the province’s 10th most wanted person in Mansalay, Oriental Mindoro, who faces charges of violating the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act (Republic Act No. 9262). READ: Calapan City’s sixth most wanted arrested in Oriental Mindoro The suspect was arrested through a joint operation involving the Mansalay Municipal Police Station, the MIMAROPA Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB), the Regional Intelligence Unit 4B, Provincial Intelligence Unit, Provincial Intelligence Team, Provincial Forensic Unit, and the 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company. Earlier that day, operatives of the Calapan City Police Station, assisted by the 404th Maneuver Company of the RMFB and the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of the Oriental Mindoro Police Provincial Office, arrested the City’s Most Wanted Person (Rank No. 6) who is facing charges for statutory acts of lasciviousness. In a separate operation, authorities also arrested the Municipal Most Wanted Person (Rank No. 1) in Mansalay, who is wanted for attempted murder. According to the MIMAROPA police, the other suspects were wanted for offenses that include alleged violations of the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act of 2009 (Republic Act No. 9995), estafa, qualified theft, attempted homicide, and acts of lasciviousness. /dp
