Vietnam Advances Comprehensive Legal Education Reform to Reach Workers

A significant turning point is being reached in the field of legal education in Vietnam. Labor unions in Hanoi have proactively engaged in a comprehensive reform of legal education dissemination and awareness activities, gradually bringing them closer to the lives of workers. This initiative embodies the Party's directive to improve the quality of legal education and reflects the Vietnamese government's commitment to strengthening the foundation of a law-governed state. Notably, the submission of opinions from the younger generation on the draft law concerning the dissemination and education of law signals an eagerness to incorporate new perspectives. Furthermore, a policy to promote the use of artificial intelligence (AI) and socialization in legal dissemination has been introduced. This is expected to lead to more efficient and effective provision of legal knowledge to citizens and businesses. Securing the necessary resources for legal dissemination activities is also a crucial pillar of this reform. Under Vietnam's one-party system, adherence to legal norms is emphasized for the stability and development of society as a whole, making the improvement of legal awareness among every citizen indispensable. Against the backdrop of recent remarkable economic growth, the development of legal systems and their dissemination to the populace are positioned as foundational elements supporting sustainable development. Moreover, amidst complex relations with China, establishing domestic legal order and maintaining social stability are critical aspects of state governance.
