Vietnam's Top Leader Orders Elimination of 'Bureaucratic' Mindset at People's Expense

Vietnam's Communist Party General Secretary and President To Lam has instructed the resolute elimination of 'bureaucratic' mindsets that sacrifice citizens' livelihoods. This was stated at a national conference to thoroughly implement and execute the Resolution of the 3rd Central Committee Plenum. General Secretary and President To Lam pointed out the current situation where 'bureaucratic' thinking, where some officials prioritize their own convenience or the maintenance of their authority without regard for the burdens on the people, is prevalent, and emphasized the necessity of resolutely eradicating it. He sounded a strong warning, stating that such ideologies, which can be the cause of difficulties and dissatisfaction faced by the people, adversely affect the development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the happiness of its citizens. At the conference, specific measures for the implementation of this resolution were discussed. Additionally, on the same day, video conferences were reported regarding strengthening economic cooperation with Cambodia and judicial cooperation with Laos, indicating Vietnam's proactive stance in both regional cooperation and domestic reform. Furthermore, it was reported that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will play a role as a strategic policy advisor in Vietnam's socio-economic development, and that the police have begun investigating multiple violations related to the first phase of the Long Thanh Airport project.
