Indonesia's Q1 trade surplus halves amid slump in coal and coffee exports

Indonesia's trade surplus dropped to US$5.55 billion in Q1, halving from $10.91 billion a year earlier. While manufacturing exports, led by nickel, showed growth, it was insufficient to offset the decline in mining exports, particularly coal. Despite the dip, Indonesia maintains a 71-month streak of trade surpluses.
