Cambodian People's Party Mobilizes Youth Wing for Upcoming Commune Council Elections

The Cambodian People's Party (CPP) has announced an action plan to strengthen the mobilization of its youth wing in preparation for the upcoming 6th mandate commune council elections scheduled for June 6, 2027. The plan targets youth party members at all levels, from the central organization to local branches and even overseas youth groups. During a meeting held on September 12 at the party's office in Baset district, Kampong Speu province, Dr. Chim Kindareth, a member of the CPP Central Committee and Chairman of the Youth Wing, addressed youth party leaders. Kindareth emphasized that youth party members are the party's 'winning force' in elections and urged them to play an active role in the campaign. The action plan is divided into four phases: priority tasks from now until the start of the election campaign; priority tasks during the 14-day campaign period; priority tasks on the polling days; and priority tasks after the elections. Youth party members are expected to understand and implement the strategy based on the 'good deeds of party officials and the quantity and quality of party members to win elections,' as well as the principle that 'one party member is one vote of support for the party.' Kindareth stated that youth party members should not only be voters but also 'active disseminators' who skillfully mobilize and attract votes for the CPP. This involves actively promoting the efforts and achievements of the party and the government in protecting people's lives and territorial integrity. Furthermore, he instructed them to counter and defeat any fake news that aims to poison society and undermine the leadership of the party and the government. Youth party members need to thoroughly understand the history, cause, and significant achievements of the CPP, as well as grasp the party's political program, principles, and decisions. They are expected to disseminate these policies among the youth, foster a spirit of awakening, build unwavering confidence in the party's leadership, dare to defend the party, and encourage everyone to vote for the CPP. Kindareth reiterated, 'Youth party members must be active and skillful in mobilizing youth to love, be loyal to, support, and be willing to sacrifice everything for the cause of the Cambodian People's Party.' The meeting concluded in a cordial atmosphere, with a high sense of responsibility and a collective commitment from youth party members at all levels to secure victory for the CPP in the upcoming elections.
