US Supports Cambodia's Frontline Health and Sustainable Health Security

The United States is supporting the strengthening of Cambodia's frontline health and sustainable health security systems. On September 14, Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy, Aleks Zittle, visited a health station in Banteay Meanchey province, underscoring US involvement in the nation's healthcare infrastructure. The health station, managed by World Vision Cambodia and funded by the US, provides essential healthcare services to displaced communities, including pregnant women, mothers, and newborns. This encompasses prenatal and postnatal care, as well as necessary immunizations. During the visit, Chargé d'Affaires Zittle joined the local team, assisting health workers in monitoring infant growth and weight. This engagement highlighted how US foreign aid contributes to building a more resilient health network that delivers critical care to displaced mothers and children. This support is part of a broader global health strategy aimed at ensuring access to healthcare for the most vulnerable populations. The US's continued engagement in Cambodia seeks to enhance the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of the country's public health sector.
