Battambang Provincial Governor Sok Lou met and distributed humanitarian aid to 23 families affected by a strong wind in two villages of Pich Chenda commune, Phnom Proek district. This action was in line with the high recommendation of Mrs. Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of the Cambodian Red Cross. The governor stated that the hardships of every citizen are the concerns of the leadership, which must be considered and resolved effectively. He added that while the emergency aid provided might not fully meet all needs, it contributes to alleviating the difficulties of the affected people. He also emphasized that the aid is offered with a sincere heart, without discrimination of race, color, religion, or political affiliation. Governor Sok Lou urged the residents to remain highly vigilant against phenomena such as thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds, and to take good care of their health, especially by closely supervising young children to avoid various accidents. Furthermore, he advised increased caution against dengue fever, as the rainy season creates breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
