In a traffic incident in Prey Veng Province, Cambodia, Lieutenant Colonel Chan Dara, head of the Economic Crimes Police Office of the Prey Veng Provincial Police, has acknowledged responsibility for a collision that killed approximately 900 ducks. According to a mediation contract dated Wednesday, 12th waning moon of the month of Srabona, year of the Rabbit, 8th lunar cycle, B.E. 2570, corresponding to September 9, 2026, Ms. Mai Touch, a 43-year-old Cambodian female, and her husband, Mr. Non Nat, a 46-year-old Cambodian male, residing in Svay Andoung village, Koh Sampov commune, Peam Chor district, Prey Veng province, have agreed to accept compensation from Mr. Chan Dara, a 42-year-old male, who holds the position of Head of the Economic Crimes Police Office of the Prey Veng Provincial Police. Mr. Chan Dara admitted that on August 9, 2026, at approximately 5:45 AM, while driving his vehicle from south to north, he struck and killed approximately 900 ducks on the road, at a point west of Svay Andoung Pagoda, located within Svay Andoung village, Koh Sampov commune, Peam Chor district, Prey Veng province.
