Samaritan's Purse Donates 2,880 Water Containers to Displaced Citizens in Banteay Meanchey Province

In Cambodia's Banteay Meanchey Province, the humanitarian organization Samaritan's Purse has donated 2,880 water containers to support citizens living in displacement. This was revealed by Deputy Governor Khlok Nuy during a meeting with representatives from Samaritan's Purse on July 21, 2026. The aid is intended for residents temporarily displaced in the former veterans' housing area in Rong Cham village, Slakram commune, Svay Chek district. The Deputy Governor expressed profound gratitude for Samaritan's Purse's "noble humanitarian spirit" and highly valued their active contribution to improving the lives of vulnerable populations. He emphasized that the donation of water containers is a "timely humanitarian assistance" that addresses the urgent daily needs of the displaced citizens, ensuring access to clean water for their temporary stay and recovery. He also instructed relevant departments to collaborate closely with Samaritan's Purse representatives, maintain accurate beneficiary lists, and ensure transparent and just distribution directly to those genuinely in need. Samaritan's Purse has been actively partnering with the Cambodian government and provincial authorities to support vulnerable individuals.
