Over 220,000 tons of rice and broken rice exported in June

According to the Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF), Myanmar exported over 223,714 tons of rice and broken rice abroad last June, earning US$74 million in export revenue. While Myanmar's rice and broken rice are normally exported via maritime routes and border trade routes, in June, exports were only possible via maritime routes, according to an MRF statement. It is said that 47 companies exported rice and broken rice in June, with 145,894 tons of rice and 77,820 tons of broken rice exported. According to MRF statistics, the export volume of rice and broken rice in June was higher than in April and May during the early period of the current fiscal year. Regarding rice exports, the largest quantities were exported to countries such as the Philippines, Poland, Cameroon, and Spain, with exports reaching a total of 23 countries. Broken rice was also exported primarily to China, Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Italy, and the UK, reaching a total of 13 countries. It is also known that coarse rice from the Ema-ti/Ngasein group, such as Sin Thukha, Thi Htat Yin, Yatana Toe, Ngasein, and Yacha, is mainly exported to the international market.
