Over 6,100 News Agency Business Licenses Granted

The Ministry of Information has granted 6,105 business licenses for printing, publishing, and news agency operations from 2014 to the present, according to the Ministry of Information. It is stated that from October 10, 2014, when the Printing and Publishing Business Regulations were enacted, to the present, 1,864 printing businesses, 3,711 publishing businesses, and 530 news agency businesses, totaling 6,105 individuals, have had their business licenses scrutinized and approved. It is known that the Ministry of Information, with the approval of the Union Government, issued an announcement on October 10, 2014, regarding the Printing and Publishing Business Regulations, and has since been scrutinizing and granting business licenses for applications received in accordance with the Printing and Publishing Business Regulations. It was also revealed that at the management committee meeting of the Ministry of Information held on July 1 of this year, 15 business licenses were approved for issuance for applications received between March 25, 2026, and June 5, 2026, including three for printing businesses, seven general licenses for publishing businesses, and five for news agency businesses.
