Cambodia: Free Medical Caravan Serves Over 1000 Residents

A volunteer medical team from the Cambodian government conducted free health check-ups and treatments for over 1,000 residents from Boeng Tompun 1 and Boeng Tompun 2 communes in Meanchey district, Phnom Penh, on July 4th. The event was attended by Lieutenant General Choun Nharinth, Deputy Commissioner General and Deputy Chief of the National Police for Phnom Penh, and numerous members of the national-level working group for Meanchey district. Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol, First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia and Head of the Government Working Group for Meanchey District, stated that citizens' well-being is a top priority for the Cambodian government. This has been consistent since the previous government led by Prime Minister Techo Hun Sen, and continues under the current 7th mandate government led by Prime Minister Dr. Hun Manet, with education and health as key priorities. He noted that over 1,000 residents in Meanchey district received free examinations and treatments from the government's volunteer medical team. Elderly citizens who received the free health services expressed their gratitude to the government for always prioritizing and caring for the health of all citizens. They highlighted that the free medical services significantly help alleviate their healthcare expenses.
