1km Concrete Road in Ponhea Loeu District Resolved Traffic Congestion, Reopens to Normal Traffic

Traffic congestion and disruption to residents' travel on a 1km concrete road in Chvay Chrum commune, Ponhea Loeu district, Kandal province, have been completely resolved. Normal traffic resumed on the night of the 20th at 8:39 PM, following timely intervention. According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Rural Development, the 6-meter-wide concrete road connecting Pongro village to Sre Ampil village was constructed in compliance with technical standards, with each layer compacted according to standards. However, during the process of spreading soil for the roadside after the removal of concrete forms, heavy rainfall occurred. This led to delays in the earthmoving activities, causing traffic congestion that inconvenienced residents for a period. Following directives from Prime Minister Hun Manet, the working group from the Ministry of Rural Development, led by Minister Chhay Rithisen, collaborated closely with local authorities and involved residents to promptly address the issue. As a result, the construction site was smoothly facilitated and the situation was improved, allowing residents to travel normally again starting from the night of the 20th.
