Lao Party Official Meets Mongolian Counterparts to Boost Bilateral Ties
Vongsay of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party met with Mongolian People's Party leaders in Mongolia to discuss strengthening long-standing party ties and explore expanded cooperation in trade, investment, and digital development.
Vongsay Sihalath, Deputy Head of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP), met with leaders of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP) on the sidelines of the 45th Standing Committee Meeting of the International Conference of Asian Political Parties (ICAPP) in Ulaanbaatar. The meeting reaffirmed the strengthening of friendly relations between the two parties and countries. During the talks, Mr. Vongsay expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality extended by the MPP and congratulated Mongolia on the successful organization of the ICAPP meeting. He also reiterated the long-standing friendship between the LPRP and the MPP, as well as the close ties between Laos and Mongolia since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1962. The Mongolian leader also expressed his country's readiness to deepen cooperation with Laos, particularly through the exchange of experience in digital transformation and the development of e-government systems.
