Minister Urges Perindo Legislators to Boost Regional Support for SMEs

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, has urged legislators from the Perindo Party to collaborate in encouraging regional governments to more seriously empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). This call emphasizes the critical role of MSMEs in driving Indonesia's economic growth. The Minister highlighted that MSMEs are central to job creation and strengthening the economic base of the nation. However, to fully unlock their potential, more proactive and effective support measures are needed at the regional government level, particularly in areas such as access to finance, technological assistance, and market access. The Minister stressed the importance of Perindo Party legislators deepening their engagement with local communities to understand the challenges faced by MSMEs and to advocate for the implementation of concrete support policies by regional governments.
