Cambodia's Ministry of Culture to Host Seminar on 'Sbaye Khmer' Usage

The Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia has announced that it will organize a seminar on the proper use of the traditional garment 'Sbaye Khmer' in Cambodian traditional ceremonies and weddings. The event is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at the Angkor Wat meeting room of the Ministry. The seminar aims to enhance understanding of 'Sbaye Khmer' as a symbol of Cambodia's rich traditional culture and national identity, and to preserve and promote its dignity and value. The target audience includes the general public interested in learning more about this field, as well as professionals in the beauty industry, fashion designers, content creators, and individuals engaged in related and similar professions. Interested participants are required to register by scanning a QR code provided by the ministry. The registration deadline is September 30, 2026, at 6:00 PM. This initiative is part of the Cambodian government's efforts to protect and inherit cultural heritage.
