Cambodia to Raise Minimum Wage for Garment, Footwear, Bag Sector to $212/Month in 2027

The Cambodian government has decided to raise the minimum wage for the garment, footwear, and bag manufacturing sector to $212 per month in 2027, a $2 increase from the current $210. This decision was reached through tripartite negotiations involving workers, employers, and the government. The Prime Minister emphasized balancing improved living standards for workers with maintaining industry competitiveness.
