Vietnam Deputy Foreign Minister Visits Egypt to Boost Multifaceted Ties

Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan has paid a visit to Egypt, marking a significant step towards strengthening the multifaceted ties between the two nations. This visit provided an opportunity to confirm concrete initiatives aimed at deepening the comprehensive partnership between Vietnam and Egypt. During his visit, Deputy Minister Tuan held meetings with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty and Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid Saleh. These discussions are understood to have covered deepening political dialogue, expanding economic cooperation, and strengthening collaboration in the defense industry between the two countries. In particular, cooperation in the chemicals and fertilizers sector, as well as closer ties in the defense industry, are noted as areas where both nations are pursuing substantial cooperation. Furthermore, Deputy Minister Tuan co-chaired the 11th Vietnam–Egypt political consultation. This serves as an essential framework for strengthening policy coordination and cooperation on common issues between the two countries. Working sessions were also held with the League of Arab States (AL), providing a platform for dialogue to enhance Vietnam's relations with Arab nations. Vietnam, in addition to its ties with ASEAN countries, also prioritizes its relationships with the Middle East, and these consultations are seen as aiming to boost Vietnam's diplomatic presence in the region. This visit by the Deputy Foreign Minister demonstrates Vietnam's commitment not only to economic growth but also to building diverse partnerships in its foreign policy and expanding its influence in the international arena.
