Quezon City Anti-Crime Drive Nabs 186 Suspects

MANILA, Philippines — A week-long anti-crime drive in Quezon City has resulted in the arrest of 186 individuals. The operation, which ran from September 6 to 12, was spearheaded by Quezon City Police District (QCPD) director Brig. Gen. Christopher Olazo. Brig. Gen. Olazo stated that the police force remains committed to its mission of pursuing criminals, strengthening its operational capabilities, and ensuring the safety of the communities they serve. "We will remain relentless in pursuing criminals, strengthening police operations and protecting our communities," he said in a statement. The arrested individuals were apprehended for a range of offenses. In 40 anti-narcotics operations, 57 suspects were arrested, and illegal drugs worth P540,092 were seized. Furthermore, 71 people were arrested based on outstanding arrest warrants. Six individuals were apprehended for illegal possession of firearms.
