Kampong Chhnang Provincial Council Holds 8th Ordinary Meeting of 4th Mandate, Discusses Regional Security and Development Contributions

Kampong Chhnang Province held its 8th Ordinary Meeting of the 4th Mandate at the provincial hall. The meeting was presided over by H.E. Siv Run, President of the Provincial Council, and attended by H.E. Sun Sovannarith, Governor of Kampong Chhnang Province, provincial council members, provincial hall administration, leaders from relevant ministries and institutions, and representatives of civil society organizations. H.E. Siv Run, President of the Provincial Council, emphasized the importance of maintaining security and order in the community. He urged local authorities, armed forces, and relevant ministries to continue their efforts in combating and preventing all forms of illegal activities, particularly drugs and gambling. He also stressed that strengthening security and order in public places and communities directly contributes to the safety of citizens' daily lives. The meeting reflected valuable professional and ethical opinions from Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen, members of the council, and leaders from relevant ministries and units, indicating that the meeting proceeded smoothly and achieved positive results as planned. All council members demonstrated a sense of responsibility in fulfilling their duties in accordance with policies, laws, and legal documents related to the decentralization and deconcentration reform of sub-national administrations. They committed to collaborating with the provincial administration and providing financial support, supplies, medical equipment, and other necessities to support and encourage the frontline soldiers undertaking the noble mission of defending national territorial integrity. H.E. the Council President further stated that civil servants and the three types of armed forces have cooperated responsibly in carrying out their duties. They have particularly contributed to defending national territorial integrity, maintaining public security and order, providing excellent public services, and creating visible achievements in local development. This contributes to the province's progress in line with the correct policies of the Royal Government of Cambodia, led by Prime Minister Hun Manet.
