UN-Habitat to Support Climate-Resilient Urban Development in Cambodia: Promoting Green Spaces and Low-Carbon Initiatives
UN-Habitat has signed a new agreement with Cambodian government institutions to advance sustainable urban development. This partnership focuses on expanding green spaces and developing climate-resilient housing, addressing Cambodia's vulnerability to climate change and supporting its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. Urgent measures are needed to combat severe heatwaves, particularly in urban areas like Phnom Penh.
