Cambodian PM Congratulates Bac II Successes, Encourages Those Who Failed

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet has congratulated students who achieved good results in the 2026 Upper Secondary School Examination, commonly known as the Baccalaureate or Bac II, while encouraging those who were unsuccessful not to lose heart and to continue pursuing their education. In a message issued on the occasion of the release of the examination results on September 1, the Prime Minister extended his congratulations to all students who successfully completed the 2025-2026 academic year examination. At the same time, Samdech Thipadei encouraged students who did not achieve satisfactory results not to lose confidence, urging them to make greater efforts in their studies and prepare for another attempt in next year’s examination. The Prime Minister also reminded students that they have other opportunities to continue their education and develop their skills, including pursuing technical and vocational education and training or advancing to higher levels of education. According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport this afternoon, a total of 151,238 candidates sat for the Baccalaureate examination held on August 10-11, 2026. Of the total candidates, 125,975, equivalent to 84.06 percent, passed the examination. Among those who passed, 46,814 students received Grade E, the largest group, followed by 44,869 students who obtained Grade D. A total of 23,422 students received Grade C, while 8,848 students obtained Grade B. Meanwhile, 2,022 students achieved the highest Grade A. By Heng Panha
