A child swept away by water flow in Tamwe

It is known from the statements of local residents that on the afternoon of September 7, in Tamwe Township, Yangon City, near the intersection of 155th Street, amidst severe flooding caused by heavy rainfall, a child of about 13 years old was swept away and went missing in a water channel. It is said that the child was swept away by the water flow while trying to retrieve his shoes that were being carried away by the current. It is also known that search operations for the missing child were ongoing until the evening of September 7. It is known from the statements of Yangon residents that on the afternoon of September 7, heavy rainfall in Yangon City caused flooding in many areas, with severe flooding occurring particularly in Tamwe, Yankin, Bahan, and Mayangon townships.
