Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteers Deploy to Maintain Tourism Order in Vung Tau

Ho Chi Minh City's Youth Volunteers (Thanh niên xung phong Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh) officially launched their Tourism Order Maintenance Unit (Trật tự viên du lịch) in Vung Tau on September 1st. This new unit comprises 50 members, marking an expansion of the force's operational scope into the city's tourist areas. The initiative is in line with the Resolution on Coordinating the Implementation of Tourism Order and Safety Protection, Ensuring Security and Order, and Improving Tourism Management Quality in Ho Chi Minh City, issued by the City People's Committee in May 2026. The tourism order maintenance officers are tasked with protecting tourism order and safety, assisting tourists, and thereby contributing to enhancing the quality of the tourism environment and building the image of Ho Chi Minh City's tourism as a safe and friendly destination. Prior to their deployment, these officers underwent training in tourist etiquette, situation handling, communication skills, local area knowledge, and rapid response capabilities to address real-world issues. In recent days, the unit has been on duty and has already made a positive impression on many tourists, contributing to the safety and security of tourism in Vung Tau during the holiday period. The deployment of these tourism order maintenance officers not only aids in better managing tourism business activities but also demonstrates professionalism and enhances the experience for visitors to Vung Tau, fostering sustainable development of the local tourism economy. Currently, 50 tourism order maintenance officers are stationed in Vung Tau, positioned at key checkpoints along the Thùy Vân coastal road. They coordinate with local authorities, the police, and relevant agencies to patrol, assist tourists, and identify and handle violations that affect tourism security, order, and safety, or refer them for appropriate action. In the future, Ho Chi Minh City's Youth Volunteers plan to collaborate with other coastal xã and phường that have tourist attractions to survey and potentially deploy additional tourism order maintenance units. Mr. Triệu Đỗ Hồng Phước, Commander of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Volunteers, emphasized that the role of these officers is "not simply taking on a new job, but a commitment to responsibility, discipline, and the spirit of serving the people."
