Their parents managed to break open the doors to rescue the children, but both suffered burns. The parents were taken to Thống Nhất Hospital in Dong Nai province. The children received initial first aid, fluid resuscitation, and antibiotic treatment at Nhi Đồng Nai Hospital before being transferred to Nhi Đồng 1 Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. This incident highlights existing challenges in Vietnam's emergency medical system, particularly in provincial areas, concerning the capacity for rapid response and specialized care for critically injured patients.
