King Commends National Assembly's Achievements: Highlights Defense Law, Maritime Convention, and Citizen Welfare

On July 1, 2026, the Cambodian National Assembly convened its 6th session of the 7th legislature. The King further elaborated that under the wise, energetic, and far-sighted leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, the 7th legislature's Royal Government has achieved substantial, commendable milestones. These include the continued full maintenance of internal peace and stability, political stability, social security and order, and macroeconomic equilibrium. Citizen welfare has been significantly improved through attracting investment, economic diversification, job creation, enhancing production capacity, strengthening supply chains, and promoting the use of domestic products. His Majesty appealed to all Cambodian citizens, both domestically and abroad, to unite as one great Khmer family under the spirit of genuine patriotism. He urged them to fully trust and support the Royal Government in defending national sovereignty, resolving border issues peacefully based on international legal principles, and further developing the motherland through continued institutional reform and modernization with the people at the core. The report on the National Assembly's work during the three months between the 5th and 6th sessions indicated that the leadership and all members had performed their duties proactively and responsibly, achieving commendable results in legislative functions, representation, monitoring law implementation, and parliamentary diplomacy.
